Selome Muleta | Tsédal (Inner Radiance)

Tizta Berhanu | Draw Closer
3 - 25 Sep 2020 We are pleased to present "Draw Closer”, an online exhibition of new works by Tizta Berhanu (1991), a young female painter from Ethiopia.
Tizta Berhanu’s main inspiration is human emotion in all its facets, portraying her subjects expressing love, hate, sadness and loneliness. Capturing the true emotion underneath the surface, her paintings are often ambiguous, almost unrecognisable, painted with broad confident brush strokes in deep intense colours. Blues, purples and deep-sea greens, dominate the canvas creating an atmosphere wherein the viewer comes voyeuristically close to the emotions of the subjects. Read more
